Record Sales Tax
Sales taxes for the month of September 2016 were $179,591.20.  Sales tax collections for calendar year to date 2016 are $1,596,822.71 as compared to $1,486,437.47 for the same period last year resulting in an increase of 7%.

Western Sky Addition Opens
The Western Sky Addition of Delaware Springs Golf Community held their grand opening on April 21, 2016.  The new addition offers eight lots on the #2 fairway, six off-fairway lots and three lots that back up to land dedicated for a future development.

The BEDC sponsors a number of special events throughout the year including the Summer Concert Series, the Burnet Art Fest, and the annual Bluegrass Festival.  Watch this page for more information about the events.
The MyTown housing program is designed to encourage economic development and job creation through new residential construction.  Homeowners who build a home in Burnet will benefit as the program provides for reduced development costs.
